Why your battery needs this？

LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0°C. Below freezing, lithium plating forms on the anode and permanently reduces capacity — which is why the JK BMS refuses to charge when the pack temperature drops. In a garage, container or unheated cabin, that means your battery sits idle all winter.

This JK BMS heating pad solves exactly that. It is a polyimide (PI) heating sheet with a resistance wire core, sealed against moisture and built to flex and conform inside a battery enclosure. It connects to the dedicated heating port on the JK BMS: when the pack temperature falls to the heating start value you set in the app, the BMS switches the film on and warms the cells; when they reach the stop value, it switches off. Nothing else to wire, no separate thermostat to buy.

The film itself is rated from −40 °C to 200 °C and carries an insulation resistance of at least 100 mΩ, so it is safe to run inside a metal enclosure in an unheated garage or container. Your cells are never heated anywhere near that range — the BMS switches the film on and off around the temperatures you choose, typically 5 °C to 10 °C.

How it connects

The film plugs into the JK BMS heating interface. Two temperature sensor leads from the BMS sit on the cells and control the switching, so heating is based on real cell temperature rather than ambient air.

Where it fits

48V / 51.2V 16S LiFePO4 battery boxes built for 280-320Ah cells — our A1, A2, A3 and V3 DIY boxes — and any JK BMS with a heating port, including the JK V19 PB series fitted to our kits. The film sits against the cells or on the inside wall of the enclosure, and it can be made to fit your box footprint — send us the enclosure and we will confirm the size. Waterproof construction means condensation in a cold garage is not a problem.
