The horizontal, stackable version of our 16S DIY box

The 280Ah battery box kit A2 is the same 16S architecture as our standard kit, rebuilt as a horizontal module that stacks. Load 16 prismatic LiFePO₄ cells (280Ah to 320Ah), connect the supplied busbars and harness, and you have a 51.2V pack rated for 10kW output — without welding anything.

The horizontal format matters in real installations: two units stack on the same footprint, and because the whole module is only 74 × 44 × 26 cm and 29.5kg, one person can move it before the cells go in.

Safety package: fire protection, air switch and JK V19 BMS

Most DIY boxes give you an enclosure and nothing else. This one ships with the safety hardware already installed: the JK V19 PB2A16S20P BMS (200A continuous, 2A active balancing), an integrated air switch on the front panel so you can isolate the pack without tools, a fire protection device mounted inside the enclosure, the new 4.3″ LCD display showing live cell voltages, SOC, current and temperature, and Bluetooth for the same data on your phone through the JIKONG app.

Communication that actually works with your inverter

CAN, RS485 and RS232 ports support the protocols used across Europe: Pylontech CAN, Deye / Sunsynk, Growatt, Voltronic / Axpert, Luxpower, SRNE, MUST, Goodwe and Sofar, plus Victron through a Cerbo GX.

Which cells fit the 280Ah Battery Box Kit A2

Sixteen prismatic cells up to 208 × 174 × 72 mm — the standard footprint for 280Ah, 302Ah, 314Ah and 320Ah cells: 16 × 280Ah ≈ 14.3kWh, 16 × 314Ah ≈ 16.1kWh, 16 × 320Ah ≈ 16.4kWh. Check your cell datasheet against 208 × 174 × 72 mm before ordering.
