Battery Box Wheels — Set of 4 Universal Locking Casters, 500kg Load

A finished DIY battery box is heavy. These four casters fix that.

Once a battery box is built — cells, BMS, wiring and enclosure all in place — you are no longer moving it by hand. Most DIY packs end up well over 100kg, and that is not something you lift, or drag across a garage floor.

This battery box wheels set is four universal casters with locking brakes, rated at 500kg total — around 125kg per caster. Whatever you build, the casters carry it with a wide margin to spare.

What you get in the box

4 × universal casters with locking brakes · mounting bolts and nuts · fitting instructions. One set is enough for one battery box.

What they fit

Made for DIY battery boxes — the steel enclosures people build home storage packs into. The mounting plate is universal, so the casters fit most boxes with a flat underside and a standard bolt pattern. Not sure about yours? Send us the underside dimensions and we will confirm before you order.

Locking brakes

Every caster has a brake lever. Lock all four and the box stays exactly where you put it while you torque terminals, swap cells or work inside the enclosure — then release and roll.

How Much Load Can These Battery Box Wheels Take

500kg across the set, about 125kg per caster. A typical finished DIY battery box sits well under that, so the casters run at a fraction of their rated load. Even stacking two enclosures on the same footprint keeps you inside the limit.

Fitting the casters: 4 steps

 1. Empty the enclosure if you can — a bare box is far easier to turn over.

 2. Line up the caster plates with the mounting holes on the underside and hand-tighten the bolts.

 3. Tighten in a cross pattern so the plates seat evenly.

 4. Lock the brakes before you install the cells, then re-check every bolt after the first move.
